DOSING

Starting Out

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are introduced using incremental dosing, starting with a low dose and gradually increasing over time. This approach helps your body adjust to the medication and significantly reduces the likelihood of gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, and acid reflux.

By gradually building up to the target dose, we can enhance your tolerance to the medication while still achieving optimal outcomes for weight management. Incremental dosing also allows for better monitoring and adjustments based on your individual response, ensuring a personalized and comfortable treatment experience.

Increasing Your Dose

Deciding whether to increase your dose of semaglutide or tirzepatide depends on two key factors:

1) How Well You're Tolerating Side Effects

If you're experiencing minimal or manageable side effects—especially related to nausea, bloating, or changes in appetite—you may be ready for a dose increase. Tolerability is essential for long-term success, and we won’t recommend increasing your dose unless your body has adjusted well to the current level

2) Your Weight Loss Progress
If you’ve plateaued in your weight loss or are not seeing the expected results after several weeks at your current dose, a gradual increase may help you continue progressing. However, weight loss can vary from person to person, and other factors like diet and activity level also play a role.
